28 October, 2017
On 28th of October, the RMC Paladins faced off the Nipissing Lakers at the Constantine Arena for a regular season hockey game. There was a good turnout of home fans cheering on the Paladins from the side. The game started with a 12th min goal in the first third by Riley Brandt which fired up the atmosphere but was quickly turned down by a great goal by Jake Wright on the Lakers. As the second period started RMC once again took the lead by another Goal by Riley Brandt 37 seconds in. But as the game went on the dies quickly turned again as the Lakers racked up an impressive three goals till the end of the period leaving the score to 4:2 Nipissing. This looked like a definite loss but the paladins did not give up in the third and final period with another goal to finish off his hat trick by Riley Brandt and a goal by Bruce Hornbrook leaving the final score of the game to be decided in overtime. The Paladins fought hard and strong for the win but came out short as Colin Campbell scored the deciding goal 3 min in to overtime. Overall it was a strong effort and was a pleasure to see the paladin giving their all for the fans who came out to support their team. Yea Red!
