Cyber Programme of the Royal Military College of Canada

The Cyber Programme of the Royal Military College of Canada is part of the Faculty of Engineering and involves many experts across the College. While the genesis of the Cyber Programme was in the technical aspects of electrical and computer engineering, it is now expanding to many areas of the social sciences and humanities.

Programme Components

The Cyber Programme operates at the graduate, undergraduate and professional military education levels.

  • Graduate Programme
    • Doctorate, Master of Applied Science and Master of Engineering in Electrical and Computer Engineering. These programmes offer specialization in Cyber Security.
    • Master of Arts in War Studies. This programme allows students to conduct graduate level research in Cyber Security.
    • Master in Defence Studies. This programme allows students to conduct graduate level research in Cyber Security.
    • Master in Business Administration. This programme offers one course in Cyber Security and allows students to conduct graduate level research in Cyber Security.
    • Master in Public Administration. This programme offers two courses in Cyber Security and allows students to conduct graduate level research in Cyber Security.
    • Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security. This is a non-degree granting programme granted on the completion of five eligible graduate level courses. Many other graduate programmes accept to have credits from this certificate credited to another degree. The Universities Ontario Council on Quality Assurance considers this certificate to be graduate diploma which must receive their approval; admissions in this program have been paused while this approval is being sought.
  • Undergraduate Programme
    • Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering. This programme offers three core courses and two electives in the field of Cyber Security.
    • Various courses in other programmes include discussion and study of Cyber Security related topics.
  • Professional Military Education
    • The RMC Cyber Programme offers a series of short courses in Cyber Security to members of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Department of National Defence and other government departments. Application and schedule details are availableat the Short Course Schedule Page
    • Students who register for a Cyber Programme short course are enrolled as RMC students and are eligible for the non-academic credit granting Professional Certificate in Cyber Security Foundations
