September 19th -20th, 2013
Kingston, ON
Join us this September 19th - 20th for the Military Ethics Conference hosted by the Royal Military College of Canada, with support from the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research.
As the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) draws down its participation in the NATO-led mission in Afghanistan and as new security challenges present themselves on the global stage, it is of vital importance that a substantial body of knowledge on the subject of military ethics is available for political and military leaders at all levels in order to ensure that the ethical "lessons learned" in the past are retained by our personnel and so that the CAF is adequately prepared to face the challenges of tomorrow in an ethical manner keeping with the highest standards of military professionalism. On September 19th and 20th experts in the field of military ethics will gather at the Royal Military College of Canada to present their research. A dinner will be held at HMCS Cataraqui on September 19th, a fee of $30 will apply. Please email Dr. Stéphanie Bélanger at stephanie.belanger2@rmcc-cmrc.ca by September 10th, 2013 to register for the dinner, as attendance for the colloquium is free.
